With an aim to redress the grievances and to reach-out the people at their door steps Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired the weekly Block Diwas at Nali Bonjwah.

He was accompanied by SSP kishtwar Dr Harmeet Singh Mehata,BDC chairperson  Bounjwah Maryama Begum,Assistant commissioner Development Kishore Singh Katoch, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr Amir Hussain, Assistant Labour commissioner Anoop Kumar, DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi, tehsildar Bonjwah Irshad Ahmed Butt,BDO Anees Malik, CHO Mushtaq Ahmed wani, CAO SK Bhagat besides XEns and other district officers.

Sarpanches of various panchayats of Bounjwah Block besides the locals and the Prominant citizens from different walks of life thronged the programme and projected their grievances and highlighted the various issues.

Various Sarpanches apprised DC Kishtwar of their issues which includes early completion of black top work on Bounjwah road, expeditious work on the receiving station at bounjwah,shortage of staff at HSS Bonjwah and HS Kither ,construction of community sanitation centre,tile work at Dramni ground Bounjwah,replacement of electric poles in Tipri panchayat, sluggish pace of work on Shadekha-Naga road in Mori panchayat, alignment issue of TKM-Mori road, construction  of school buildings at Chamki, Gidson and Batakhpora, restoration of water supply scheme at Dehni, reopening of GMS Jwalapur, upgradation of MS gujjar Basti upto High school, development of tourism sector at davigool among others.

DC Kishtwar after giving patient hearing to their grievances  redressed most of them onspot besides assured them that the rest of the grievenace will be redressed in due course of time.

On the issue of land compensation he informed that the issue has been taken up with the higher authorities and the matter will be resolved in time bound manner besides he directed XEn PMGSY to start the work on roads and expedite the pace of work.

DC further informed the participants that under PMGSY phase III ,the hamlets with population of  250 souls or more have been projected for road connectivity.

Furthermore to resolve the issue of inadequate staff in schools he asked ZEO Concerned to submit school wise list of teachers along with their posting details by next Monday so that rationalisation of staff is worked out and sufficient teaching staff is posted in each school.

On the issue of school buildings and insufficient accommodation in the schools  ,he  further directed ZEO Drabshalla Sewa Ram to remove the bottlenecks immediately and start the construction works wherever has been stopped.

To ensure the electricity and water supply to left out habitations he assured them that the work for electricity connectivity have been allotted and  various water supply schemes have been projected in ambitious Jal jivan mission.
 He further added that the land for the construction of receiving station at Bounjwah has been identified and assured them that the project will be taken up immediately once the technical sanction is received.

On the demand of public , he also announced the start of construction of community sanitation centre at dramri Bounjwah for which he directed tehsildar kishtwar to indentify suitable land besides ACD kishtwar was directed to start the work immediately .

Exhorting upon the implementation of three tiers system of panchayat raj institutions in the district he asserted that grass root level planning plays an important role in the development hence the participation of the people must be ensured in planning,execution and monitoring of the developmental works to achieve the desired results.

Besides he also directed the Tehsildar Bonjwah to monitor the punctuality of various departments in the the tehsil and block Bonjwah and ensure the submission of daily attendance to DC office

He further asked the PRIs to monitor the developmental works in education, health, power, Jal Shakti and other sectors so that they may be completed in time frame manner besides quality of work is ensured.

On the occasion 87 individual beneficiaries oriented certificates  which includes 60 domicile certificates,3 RBA, 24 ST certificates were distributed onspot besides the individual grievances of the locals were also listened.

During the camp Chief Horticulture Officer and  Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar imparted awarenes to the participants about the various benificiary schemes meant for the farmers and orcharists.
They asked the farmers to shift to the diversified pattern of agriculture activities with integrated approach towards development of horticulture, floriculture, api culture and mushroom cultivation which will be helpful in doubling their income.

Awareness regarding the value added products in agriculture and food processing sectors was also given to the farmers.
Enroute DC Kishtwar also interacted and listened to the grievances of various delegation besides inspected Ranjla micro Hydro electric power project at Bonjwah.
Similar Block Diwas programmes was also held in blockhead-quarter Paddar under the supervision of tehsildar Paddar Major singh in which 32 Domicile certificates , 22 revenue extracts were issued among the beneficiaries besides various grievances were redressed on spot.

Meanwhile block diwas programmes was also held at block headquarter Drabshalla and chatroo under the supervision of tehsildar Arun Kumar and tehsildar Suman sharma respectively.
