Important role of Kishtwar Police during Covid

Kishtwar 11 May :________ In the last few days, the positive cases of covid have been increasing in Kishtwar district. In view of the increase in positive cases from the remote villages of Kishtwar district in the last two days, the Kishtwar district administration has declared these villages as micro containment zones. District Development Commissioner Kishtwar  Ashok kumar sharma issued two orders regarding micro containment zones,which includes remote villages of Chhatroo sub-division and some villages of Naib Tehsil Palmar. According to the orders issued, the villages of Sagdi, Kralpura, Ward No. 2 of Mughal Maidan Tehsil and Suzna, Sonabati, Chewar, Lower Razna and market area of Patimhal  of Naib Tehsil Palmar have been declared as micro containment zones. Earlier, Kishtwar town and adjoining areas have been declared as micro containment zones including Hidyal, District Police Line Road , Kuleed, Waser, Zelna, Bhop Nagar and some parts of Tund village. There are more than two hundred fifty covid positive patients in Kishtwar at present and their number is increasing day by day. In view of the increase in positive cases, the district administration took several steps to prevent further spread of the covid pandemic in Kishtwar. According to an order issued by the District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, several teams have been formed and these teams will conduct surveys at various locations in Kishtwar to further strengthen the work. Kishtwar Police is also working hard to enforce all these orders on the ground which are  issued by the District Development Commissioner Kishtwar and  leaving no stone unturned. Kishtwar District Police has sealed off the micro-containment zones and restrict the movemet of people in these areas. SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Butt is personally looking after the implementation of orders issued by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and  inspecting the micro-containment zones along with other police officers.On the one hand,  Kishtwar police has been appealing to the people to cooperate while the same has been seen taking action against those violating the orders. People wandering  in markets  without masks and without any reason are being fined. Besides, an FIR has also been registered against two persons for violating the lockdown yesterday. Several political and social activists belonging to Kishtwar district appreciated the efforts of Kishtwar police. The only way to prevent the outbreak is to take precautionary measures, so the public should also follow the orders issued and co-operate fully with the administration to prevent further outbreaksoutbreak.
