GHSS Channi Himmat sets an example of a virtual model of education; Ranks above the private players

Jammu 19 Jul:...........  Government schools are often subjects of public ridicule and anger owing to poor performance in academics despite getting huge perks of salary and other benefits in comparison to their private counterparts but there are some exemplary schools even in the government sector that are doing yeoman services setting an example of hard work and integrity.
The pandemic of covid-19 has tattered the economies of the world and the educational sector is the worst hit where students couldn't attend school for the straight second year even in a row compelling government to give mass promotion to students without attending the examination.

There are some schools in the government sector that have risen above the standards of private players even in this pandemic and one such school is Government Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat Jammu, which has proven their hard work, grit, and determination beyond any doubt. The parents of the wards have showered petals and praises on the school and the staff for their unmatchable and unwavering services during the virtual mode of online classes.

The school has set apart the standard and norm of imparting with the day beginning with yoga classes early in the morning and the school makes it sure that every student attends the yoga classes to refresh the mind and soul of children to remain healthy and destressed while attending the classes and their daily life schedule. Apart from it the staff of the school regularly take the classes and apart from academic classes, career and counseling sessions are taken by the teachers to effectively groom up the kids. It is pertinent to mention here that the school is winning accolades for its serious approach to the overall development of the children.
While talking to the principal of the school Miss Shahnaz Choudhary, she said that their school has children from various backgrounds but they make sure that we prepare them to study in a competitive environment to challenge even their private counterparts. we pay individual attention to every student and make it possible that nobody is left unattended.

This is our regular and uninterrupted endeavor to prepare our students even during the lockdown, we personally call the students, keep them in the loop and adopt counseling and Coordination for our students so that they don't miss the classes and nurture them every possible way, said senior teacher Seema Wahi who also conducts quiz competitions and counseling sessions for the students.

While talking to Rajesh Raina who teaches and practices yoga with the students said that it's their commitment to keeping children mentally and physically fit that too in this pandemic era. An emotionally and physically fit citizen is an asset to the nation and we are making every effort to give our contribution, said Mr. Raina.

All other teachers and non-academic staff are working in cohesion to give the best for the children. It is worth mentioning here that people often accuse government teachers of poor performance but the school has broken many wrong notions by their sheer hard work and commitment to the job. The people and particularly the parents most of whom belong to lower-income groups have applauded the efforts of the school.
