BUNJWAH 21 Aug:………… The Indian Army today inaugurated a 60-day Commercial Mushroom Farming Project in the Bunjwah area of village Jawalapur and Patnazi. In this, project, 12 men and 08 women were selected and they will be provided scientific farming techniques along with the necessary infrastructure and agricultural raw materials required for the project.

 

Out of the 20 people who are members of this project, 04 are family members of those who were killed by terrorists before, 03 are wives of people who were terrorists long back and were killed by security forces, 02 are physically challenged and the other 11 are people below the poverty line.

 

The training will be done by Agricultural Department and will be supervised by Army. In this project, they have also created social media groups and the Chief Agricultural Officer himself is part of the group so that every day the crops can be monitored.

 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of the Army, Agricultural Department, BDC Chairperson, DDC Member, and the Sarpanches of the villages.

 

The locals who are part of this project expressed their happiness and gratitude to the Army for the project and especially the way of selection of the beneficiaries as they feel that this would bring greater communal and social harmony among the locals. The Sarpanches also expressed with the joy that this kind of project will make them forget the past and march ahead towards the future in unity.
