*Interstate thieves gang busted,12 theft cases solved, 77 tolas gold worth ₹35 lakhs recovered.*

 *SSP Jammu Sh Chandan Kohli, IPS* said that in a major breakthrough Jammu Police in RS Pura has solved around 12 theft cases which occurred in Jammu district in the areas of RS Pura, Bishnah, Miran Sahib, Arnia, Trikuta nagar etc and caught a notorious thief Parvaiz Ahmed Bazdar S/O Abdul Rashid Bazdar R/O Kishtwar.

He added that on 1st  January, Police station RS Pura received complainants of thefts in two houses and subsequently FIR Nos 1/2022 and 3/2022 U/S 380, 454 IPC were lodged at Police station RS Pura and investigation was set into motion.

SSP Jammu further said that special teams were constituted under SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan comprising of SHO PS RS Pura Inspr Jai Pal Sharma and  teams collected the minute details and after collaborating various technical and human links finally zeroed in on one Parvaiz Ahmed S/O Abdul Rashid Bazdar R/O Kishtwar and his two accomplices Farooq Ahmed Rather S/O Mohd Sharief Rather R/O Gandoh Doda and Mohd Huzaif R/O Gandoh Doda

Parvaiz was arrested with the assistance of Srinagar Police from his hideout in Raj Bagh Srinagar after a technical input was generated about his presence in Srinagar.

On the disclosures of Parvaiz various goldsmiths from different districts of UT of J&K and Punjab namely Mohd Yousaf Malla S/O Abdul Khaliq Malla R/O Bandipora , Firdous Ahmed Zargar S/O Mohd Yousaf Zargar R/O Pulwama , Arif Majid S/O Abdul Majid R/O Pampore and Ashiq Hussain S/O Mohd Sharief R/O Doda were also arrested and stolen gold weighing around 77 tolas worth around ₹35Lakhs was recovered by special team of Jammu Police. 

This was done under the supervision of *SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta.* 

It is pertinent to mention that Parvaiz is a notorious thief and his gang is already involved in more then 50 theft cases in many police stations in UT of J&K, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab etc. He has already been booked many times in Kishtawar, Doda, Reasi, Udhampur and Jammu.

Jammu Police is working on various leads and his two accomplices Farooq Ahmed Rather S/O Mohd Sharief Rather R/O Gandoh Doda and Mohd Huzaif R/O Gandoh Doda are on radar to be arrested soon and some more recoveries would be made.

SSP Jammu appealed to the general public to apply proper locks and keep their precious belongings in a safe place before leaving the house. He further added that people should inform the nearest police station regarding their tenants and properly follow the tenant verification process. Also, the nearest police station should be intimated if they have to leave their place for more than a month.
