*DEO Kishtwar chairs meeting with representatives of various Political Parties and EROs on SSRERs*

Kishtwar Sept.15th 2022:

 In view of the ongoing special summary revision of electoral rolls (SSRERs), the District Election Officer (DEO), Kishtwar , (Deputy Commissioner), Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS) today chaired a meeting with representatives from various political parties as well as EROs.

The District Election Officer informed in the meeting about the crucial dates of Special Summary Revision,Publication of Draft electoral Roll,filing of claims and objections and registration of eligible Electorals/voters.

DEO Kishtwar said that the calendar for special summary revisions has been widely publicized and the draft electoral rolls has been published . He said the process of inviting claims and objections has been started in the District Kishtwar.

The DEO said that the parties will have to appoint and submit the list of Booth Level Agents who shall co-ordinate with the respective BLOs for hassle free registration of eligible electorals.

He said that special campaigns for registration, addition, deletion etc of electoral will be conducted at Polling Booths by BLOs on 24th & 25th September and 1st,2nd,15th and 16th October 2022. 

Various other issues were also discussed in the meeting and DEO Kishtwar redressed majority of them onspot by forwarding necessary directions to the concerned.

He appealed the representatives to help the administration in identifying, enrolment of eligible electorals in their respective areas so that no eligible voter is leftout.

Dy DEO Kishtwar was instructed to intensify the SVEEP activities in the District and rope in the representatives of Political Parties and different stake holders in this process.

He directed to continue the capacity Building Programmes for BLOs in the the district.

Terming student as ambassadors,DEO Kishtwar directed the Dy DEO Kishtwar to conduct the awareness about GARUDA APP.,NVSP portal and Voters Helpline App in Colleges so that awareness for online registration of eligible electors above 18 yrs age. 

The meeting was attended by ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, Dy. DEO Naresh Kumar, ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Paddar/ERO Dr Rishi sharma, Election NT Sajjad Hussain besides representatives from various political parties among others.
