On the eve of Urs of Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib (RA),the Directorate of Tourism Jammu in Collaboration with District Administration Kishtwar,Kishtwar Development Authority & J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised Sufi Musical Evening "Mehfil-e-Samah" at Chowgan Plate Ground Kishtwar.

The programme was graced by the presence of chief guest Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav(IAS),Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan (JKAS),SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt,SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom were guest of honour on the occasion.

Besides, ASP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh,CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Inderjeet Singh Parihar,ACP/Administrator Auqauf Islamia Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, President Municipal Council Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Najjar,DDC members,BDC chairmen,PRIs,

prominent persons besides media fraternity and famous local artists and renowned Singer of UT participated in the programme. 

During the musical evening, local artists and renowned artists from UT Kabul Bhukhari sang beautiful songs having mystic importance as well as depicting teachings of Sufis and Reshis.

Renowned singers presented popular Sufi numbers amidst the applause from the audience.

Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar threw light on the significance of celebrating the Urs Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib (RA) to promote the communal Harmony and brotherhood at Kishtwar.

He also reiterated the Govt's initiative to harness, promote and develop religious tourism in the district which is land of great Sufis ,saints and shrines.
